Position: Agile Scrum Master
Work Location: On-site Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC. Potential for hybrid teleworking.
Position Overview:
The Agile Scrum Master is responsible for guiding and supporting PEO Digital in successfully accomplishing objectives and providing direct support for Product Owners, Agile Release Train (ART) Product Managers and the Release Train Engineers (RTE).
Job Requirements/Primary Responsibilities:
The Agile Scrum Master candidate is responsible for applying their functional knowledge to coach a Product team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. Using Agile tools, such as Azure DevOps, you’ll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish Program Increment Objectives, Features, and Stories. You will have a direct impact on the Naval environment by working alongside our clients to deliver innovative and impactful digital solutions. You will develop and contribute to a variety of project solutions that will ensure success for the delivery of services in support of the warfighter.
Experience:
- Minimum of Five (5) years of experience supporting programs within the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master serving as a servant leader, facilitating Agile practices and ceremonies, removing team impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Secret Clearance required
Required
- Experience as an Agile project manager serving multiple teams and providing tasking and prioritization
- Experience in Agile tools, including Azure DevOps, Jira, or ServiceNow
- Knowledge of Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles
- Ability to perform Scrum duties, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and program increment (PI) planning
- Ability to support the Product Owner with maintaining and executing against product backlogs
- Scrum Master Certification, including Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
- Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governance
- Experience providing support to the Department of the Navy, Navy leadership, or Naval Commands, including working with senior-level clients and key stakeholders
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Possession of excellent cross-functional or cross-organizational stakeholder management and customer outreach skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- ITIL foundations Certifications
Salary Range - $80,000 to $110,000 (Depending on experience)
