Systems Engineer – Stafford, VA
Seeking Systems Engineers at different experience levels, with a strong technical background supporting acquisition programs, to support customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:

  • Provide direct support to Assistant Program Managers for Systems Engineering and Test and Evaluation, Team Leads, Project Officers, Systems Engineers, and Test Specialists
  • Develop and revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation.
  • Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio.
  • Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals
  • Assist with the development of technical specifications.
  • Develop Technical Review Action Plans and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process.
  • Participate in Systems Engineering IPTs
  • Perform advanced technical work concerned with the design, evaluation, planning, testing, integration/interoperability, operation, and maintenance of systems/subsystems/components and equipment.
  • Perform RAM, FRACAS, and TIR Analyses, reviewing ECPs identifying and documenting program’s functional, allocated, and product baselines.
  • Provide technical support regarding integration/interoperability, cyber security, Marine Corps Enterprise Architecture, Concept of Operations, Navy/Marine Corps Afloat Integration, Joint Interoperability, and associated systems, hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Manage development of Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), assist with development of test strategies, procedures, and plans.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of test events and operational evaluations.
  • Assist with the development of cybersecurity and architecture products performing engineering modeling and testing events, analyzing results, ensuring security boundaries are maintained during integration efforts.
  • Monitor IA vulnerability alerts and ensure appropriate security actions are taken.
  • Ability to provide cross-functional support to address obsolescence and DMSMS issues.
  • Travel and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other technical/scientific discipline; years relevant experience commensurate with required level:
    • Mid – Level:  5 to 9 years of relevant experience; +5 additional years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.  Equivalent to practitioner tier DAWIA in ETM or T&E functional areas
    • Senior – Level:  10+ years of relevant experience; +5 additional years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.  Equivalent to practitioner tier DAWIA in ETM or T&E functional areas
  • Experience with SETR events and related documentation are required.
  • Expertise/experience performing complex engineering concerning the design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operation of systems /subsystems/equipment is required.
  • Expertise/experience with requirements traceability and decomposition into specifications and test plans, developing acquisition systems engineering/documentation and providing input to other competency area documents is required.
  • Expertise/experience performing RAM, FRACAS, and TIR Analyses, reviewing ECPs identifying and documenting program’s functional, allocated, and product baselines is required.
  • Experience developing cybersecurity and architecture products performing engineering modeling and testing events, analyzing results, ensuring security boundaries are maintained during integration efforts is required.
  • Experience with integration/interoperability, Marine Corps Enterprise Architecture, Concept of Operations, Navy/Marine Corps Afloat Integration, Joint Interoperability, and associated systems, hardware, software, and equipment are required.
  • Experience with MCSC policies, processes, and environments and in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events are required.
  • Prior exp using and/or providing support for multiple systems in various phases of the acquisition cycle including C2, Network, Amphibious Assault, and Mobile Tactical Shelter/Mobile Command Vehicle systems is desired.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government stakeholders is required.
  • Excellent MS Office skills are required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, “go-getter” attitude, and a passion for the Marine Corps mission are required.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills, and analytical capabilities are required.
  • DoD SECRET clearance is required.


Salary Range - $65,000 to $130,000
